You can find wolves in almost every continent on the planet. He has different symbolism depending on where you go. He is considered a warrior, a leader, a powerful creature of battle. However, wolf is also a teacher. He teaches us about honoring our truth and walking our paths. He teaches us the importance of community and family, whether it's the one you are born to or the one you create.
Wolf came to me when I was a hurting teen. He came to me in the quiet of the snowy woods. It was a place I had created in my heart that was safe from the trauma I had faced. He came in without fearing that I would shy from him, and I didn't.
In the time that I have known him, he has taught me strength and opened my eyes to my own powers. He taught me that I wasn't helpless and that I was the sculptor of my own destiny. He wasn't always gentle, sometimes I needed a harsh bite when I didn't listen. He taught me that self-care isn't always easy and, in order to grow, you have to face your wounds head on. Wolf taught me to bite through the bindings that kept me tied to situations and relationships that no longer serve me. He also comforted me as I mourned those things I released.
Wolf is a teacher, a healer, a guide.
And I am his daughter.
